This past weekend we hosted our annual Donor Awards, celebrating the milestone donations of our highest achieving blood donors of the past year from the Cape Metro. Between all the donors who attended the awards, they have donated 18,975 units of whole blood and platelets between them.
The highlight of the evening included honouring Mr Kenneth Saunders, who celebrated his 475th milestone donation.
We also recognised organisations and individuals in the blood donor community who have played an important role in helping us provide sufficient and safe blood. These awards include:

Media Partner of the Year Award – VOC (Voice of the Cape)
School Awards – Protea Heights Academy; Claremont High School; HTS Drostdy
Peer Promoter Awards – Mei-Shan Gabriel; Anya Rall; Angelika Lippert
